Google’s newest AI-powered image generator was launched late this summer and has already created quite a stir in the field of realistic photo generation. But users were particularly impressed by the new editing capabilities for existing images. Even Photoshop couldn’t edit a photo so precisely. Read on to learn what makes this new generator different and what features Nano Banana offers users.

Generation of photos, 3D, video

It’s important to note that the Gemini 2.5 Flash Image tool, officially called Nano Banana, is still in development and testing. Currently, it’s presented as a static image generator. However, the developers have already announced the ability to create animated images up to 8 seconds long. Direct generation of 3D models is also not yet supported. However, the model can be used as part of a pipeline for creating 3D objects using third-party tools.

What Nana Banana can do:

  • Create new images based on descriptions in a given style;
  • Combine two or more original photos into one;
  • Remove or add objects, change character poses, clothing, and hairstyles;
  • Place real objects in fantasy scenes;
  • Add text in different languages without distortion or inaccuracies;
  • Maintain character recognizability even with multiple edits.

You can upload your portrait and have the neural network relocate the scene, for example, to the ocean shore, the crater of a volcano, the Eiffel Tower, or even another planet. Everything will look completely realistic. You can even create realistic photos of famous people from scratch, such as Michael Jackson and Billie Eilish posing for a selfie, even though they’ve never actually met.

Integration with other Gemini models

Google is not resting on its laurels and is actively integrating the developed model with other AI tools.

The company is already announcing the following development directions:

  • Integration with Veo and Lumiere for creating short videos;
  • Transition to 3D via Depth-based generation;
  • Create images directly from text in NotebookLM.

Another feature launched just recently is the ability to use Nano Banana on mobile devices in Google Search and Google Photos. You can take a photo directly or select one from your gallery and edit it using AI. This feature is currently being tested in the US, but should soon be available to users in other countries.

Photoshop and Telegram support

Nano Banana is officially integrated with Adobe Photoshop. The model is available for beta testing via Generative Fill. This Photoshop integration is especially useful for designers, who, after AI-powered image editing, can adjust individual details and colors, layer, and add special effects using standard tools for more precise composition.

As a bot with proxy access to the Gemini API, the model is accessible via Telegram. Users simply send text or an image to receive results without complex model configuration. chataibot.pro provides this access to users in Russia, allowing them to use Nano Banana within the messenger.

Examples of generations

You can generate any images that don’t fall under the restrictions. The model supports generation based on a text description or the source image.

Some of the most popular examples of use include:

  • creating characters, props, and interiors for games, anime, and films;
  • changing backgrounds, poses, and colors, and removing minor defects in photographs;
  • creating logos, posters, and banners;
  • visualizing projects for presentations;
  • transforming photographs or drawings into different artistic styles.

To generate an image, you need to create a prompt. For example, for a presentation of a new smartphone model, you might create a request: “Advertising visualization of a new smartphone on a table in a modern office, minimalist background, reflections on the glass case, perspective angle for a product catalog.”

Where can I use it

The new model is suitable for various professional fields where visual content is required:

  • creating banners, promotional materials, and posters for marketing;
  • illustrations for books, comics, infographics, and presentations;
  • professional photo editing;
  • creating visual aids for educational projects;
  • generating images for blogs, social media posts, and news materials;
  • branding and design projects;
  • filling out product cards.

Russian users can also take advantage of all these features, despite Google restricting access to its products in Russia. The chataibot.pro platform offers unlimited access to the Nano Banana AI tool and popular neural networks. AI services can be accessed on the website, through the extension, Telegram, and VK.
